BEACHES

The Bruce Peninsula is surrounded by water! Our beaches vary from tables of limestone rock on Georgian Bay to miles of sugar sand. Sunsets on the beaches of Lake Huron are second to none! 


HIKING

The Bruce Trail begins or ends in Tobermory, snakes down the eastern shoreline of the Bruce Peninsula, and is Canada’s oldest and longest footpath. Backpack in the National Park – and camp beneath the stars!


KAYAKING & CANOEING

Spend a couple of hours or a couple of days discovering the hidden places of the Bruce Peninsula by kayak or canoe.


FISHING

From fly fishing to river fishing , big lake fishing to small lake fishing to – Lake Huron & Georgian Bay offers the fishing experience of a lifetime!

CHICHEEMAUN FERRY TO MANITOULIN ISLAND

The trip across to Manitoulin passes through the Fathom Five National Marine Park – with a great view of the Cove Island Light. Enjoy a sunset dinner cruise from Tobermory in the summer.

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is fortunate to have something that no one else has, an albino weather prognosticating groundhog. As the most famous groundhog in Canada and the only albino weather prognosticator in the world, Wiarton Willie’s prediction of the timing of spring is a news event that captures the interests of people around the world. Each year media from around the world converge in Wiarton to hear Willie make his famous prediction.


SAUBLE BEACH XC SKI CLUB

The Sauble XC Ski Club has about 18 km of groomed ski trails and 13 km of snowshoe trails starting from the chalet and running through forest areas east of the Rankin River. Both systems offer loops of various lengths and difficulties.
